    UK based support staff

    Hi
    Im thinking of starting a UK based web host support company and trying to see how many people will be interested in the service.
    All techs will be uk based with english as their primary language and would be avaliable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to your support tickets. All accounts will come with a Kayako eSupport license.
    How much would people be willing to pay for such a service?
    Would anyone be interested in such a service?

    We've always used our own support staff, but if the price is good enough then it may compliment our setup already.

    Would you setup a schedule system? I.e if someone only wanted outsourced replies during the ours of 11pm-8am for example.

    It would certainly fill a gap, AFAIK I don't know of any hosting support companies who are based in the UK.

    Depending on pricng this is something we may eventually look into. Although it's down to personal preference, I prefer to hire our own staff.

    This isn't anything new. There are other hosting companies which have UK offices and staff based in the UK.

    So as for prices to be paid, prompt technical support is more or less a de facto standard when it comes to web hosting, and as such by having prompt support it will do well for you, but it won't be enough give you an edge or justify a higher price than another company with full time staff as well..

    In response to you question regarding a schedule system, this would definitely be an option should I go through with the idea. With regard to pricing, what would you say would be a reasonable price for such a service?
