Indexed in google so quick!?

Hi i recently setup a client website and informed them that their website will be indexed by google within a month atleast after we have submitted the url information etc.

The client went onto another website called: www.adoos.co.uk its a Free Classified Ads Directory and had advertised their website information and link there.

Within a day or i believe within two days when i put in the website name the information they had submitted in www.adoos.co.uk came up right away as PR1 listing their ad that they had placed?

I also noticed a similarity with other websites also.

Can somebody explain why and how this happens so quickly?

Google just recently updated the toolbar PR. Could have just been lucky timing. Why are you worried about PR anyways?

No im not worried about PR's at all. Its just that i did a website for a client and they requested it to be on google search engine one way or another. Usually if you put in the website domain name or the website name into google it will come up with your website.

The website is 7 days old.. however i didnt think the website will be indexed any time soon even after i had submitted the link. I was estimating it will take atleast a month. What happened was the client went on to advertise their business on www.adoos.co.uk which is a Free Classified Ads Directory.

This was posted 3/4 days ago and already when i google the company name their ad on www.adoos.co.uk comes up which was only put there a few days ago... thats whats puzzling me as to how it got on to google so quick whereas when i had manually submitted the link to google it hasnt yet indexed it.

Dude dont come round with such accusations, i have been on WHB long enough and if need be i can prove my point. If you have a problem pm a mod dont come into a genuine thread of mine swinging your bat whichever way you like.

I suppose you would say the same to everybody else who posts a link to their site right? Do me a favour please dont reply to this thread again.

Thanks.

I guess I am not understanding what the problem is. I buy and start new domains all of the time and I see them indexed for their "name" in a week or so. Whats the problem?

For example I bought a domain name the other day called flipthissite.com and it is indexed for its name too:

http://www.google.com/search?q=flipt...L_enUS251US251

So what?

There is no problem.

Its just a puzzling thing which i am trying to understand. The domain and site was up just over a week ago. Now after submitting to google one would expect to wait a while for google to index which i understand wholly.

But i dont understand how google was able to index the particular advertisement which had the business name and domain on it that was placed on adoos.co.uk 2/3 days ago. Thats what im trying to get at.. how it was indexed so fast within days and onto google?

Is there a reason you link to the site so often?

Are you saying a link from www.adoos.co.uk got your client's website indexed much faster than you manually submitted the link to Google itself?

Yeah. Thats true. A link in your signature on WHT can get your website indexed faster than adding manually to Google. A backlink is all you need to index your websiite in a faster way. Who adds links manually now? Duh'!

It's your site you posted a link to?

Jeeezus guys! lol if adoos was my website dont you think i would have had it in my sig like every other person? If you do a DNS check on the guy you will see he is from Spain and has registered a .co.uk and if you check my ip address on this forum you will see how far apart we are!

You have a point.. it does seem like that dosent it.. i also had the address on my clipbaord so all i did was paste it each time i had to mention the website address.. hence i wrote the entire domain name as oppose to just adoos.co.uk.

But i can assure you this is an innocent case people are just too quick to point fingers.

Thanks.

You're almost there!

The client website is not indexed on google... (yet) but when you come to search for their website or their website name adoos.co.uk comes up. When you click on the link it takes you to the adoos classified AD that was submitted by the client.

So im just wondering how new content being submitted on adoos.co.uk only a few days after the client website was up got onto google so fast... in other words how did adoos.co.uk index the clients ad in google within days?

This was why I asked:
"I suppose you would say the same to everybody else who posts a link to their site right?"

We have members that work for and with companies and live in other countries, and are not neccesarily the owner of the domain.
Just checking.

I see i understand.

What i meant to say was... taylorwilsdon would be saying the same to those users who genuinely do put their site links up.
