    need cheap server

ok, dont laugh at me you lot, i have reasons for asking this,
im looking for a BASIC dedicated server with for under $40/mo but i dont mind if its a dual P3 spec - require more hard drive than cpu power, anyone got any ideas ? Volumedrive im already discussing it with as they host 2 of my servers already and their fine except for burstnets useless network

Keep in mind VolumeDrive is a co-location/transit client, and therefore own/operate their own equipment/network, so any issues you are having may not necessarily be on our network specifically---including speed/latency issues on their switches.

i was referring to your recent total network downtimes burst not VDs netowrk connectivity - they still use your transit at this time so they are at mercy of yourselves (and your transit providers) aswell

need a cheap server , you should likely consider a VPS with a reputable company. $40 budget for a server , some people may still be doing it but, with rising costs of power and space , all good things must come to an end , wouldn't you rather share a dual quad core xeon than have a cheapo old celeron , where the company is making next to nothing.

    Just my $.02

OLM.net has their "Refurb Blowouts" with servers starting at $30/month.
I can't say how long the equipment will last, as it's all old. But that's one place that I know of.
