This is a fast paced environment requiring individuals with strong work ethics and the ability to be a team player. You must be very patient & have the ability to listen to customers questions / problems and generate technically sound solutions quickly on the fly without creating tickets with too many replies.
Duties for this position include: Troubleshooting client issues via Tickets and live person chat, and responding to event notifications (Service Down / Load Alerts etc)
The following is required to be considered:
- Must be a responsible team player.
- Must live within the Ohio Youngstown area or within commutable distance
- Must be at least 18 years old. (Due to some adult content related to our clients accounts)
- Ability to multi-task efficiently.
- Ability to succeed in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to troubleshoot problems to resolution using shell and whm
- Possess excellent knowledge of Cpanel/WHM and how they tie into RedHat/CentOS environments.
- Possess excellent knowledge of redhat package manager and yum, candidates who can maintain rpm repositories and write rpms preferred.
- Possess competent to excellent knowledge of bash scripting and automation.
- Possess excellent knowledge of linux command line utilities such as sed/awk for log analysis and data retrieval and refining.
- Possess excellent knowledge of LAMP type environments and configurations. Including apache(configurations for php, perl, python as they relate to it), mysql, postgresql, named(bind9), ftp servers, pop/imap, smtp(exim and postfix), iptables, etc.
- Possess excellent knowledge of linux filesystem permissions, including standard permissions, extended attributes and posix ACL's.
- Possess excellent knowledge of linux networking and TCP/IP networking in general, including network setup, troubleshooting, and classless routing. Must also have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot medium to large scale DoS/DDoS attacks and implement defense strategies on the fly.
- Knowledge of Parallels Virtuozzo containers and experience troubleshooting HW nodes and VE's preferred.
- Knowledge of RAID, software and hardware(3ware and Adaptec), and ability to troubleshoot.
- Perl/Py programming/scripting a plus.
- Experience in managing grsecurity based environments a plus.
Salary starts at 31,000 annually
