A search should reveal quite a bit of info on them, though mostly on their shared hosting.

SiteGround.com's service is horrible unless of course you like "bait-and-switch" scams.

they are based in greece or turkey as far as i remember, so maybe your timezone isnt better in their reach for a fast reply.

When I saw their name, I thought who would name their hosting company that. The name leaves a lot of room for mockery when the service is not up to par. SiteGround - we'll run your site to the ground!
    hahaha.

Some hosting companies I won't deal with:
    DeadSeaHost
    NoHost
    HostBeGone
    ....

Problems with Siteground: I seem to be having big problems with siteground and the problems are mainly to do with slow siteground servers. Is it possible that Siteground servers are way over subscribed?
Has anyone else had problems with Siteground and slow server times?
I make a point of not contacting my web host providers because in my experience you become far more frustrated and angry at either no response, a slow response, a rediculous excuse or they blame you for all of their problems. I know this is a generalisation but it is my experience. Of all the web host providers I have used in the past I have only one good recommendation that I could make, and it certainly isn't Siteground !

Could be. Could also be that some heavy users share the server with you, and Siteground doesn't notice it's affecting performance for everyone. I seem to recall they they use cPanel? Maybe you can see the server load in the control panel? Not that it's a surefire thing, but a high "server load" can be a sign of "issues" that the host should attend to. Make them earned their money.

Sounds like you just need a good host. Support should not be consistently worthless.

Assuming they are, that would have no bearing on how fast the servers run, unless it's proven to be a network issue.
