I'd say Alexa, because more people know about Alexa (hence a higher chance of using its toolbar, hence more data = more accurate data).

Although Alexa isn't all that accurate, so Netcraft wouldn't have to do loads to beat Alexa.

I would say Netcraft is more accurate as they do intensive surveying etc. Alexa depends on a base of users to collect statistics.

They are as accurate as your guess of which is more accurate

In some cases they bring good results, in others... oh well.

Just use all the information you can get using both tools!

I rely more on NetCraft than I do of Alexa but then again, I think Alexa should just be used to get a ballpark area of where the site stands.

I would say Alexa, especially since they upgraded how they actually ranks sites...

Personally, I don't think either one is very accurate. It's like comparing apples to bananas when you really need a pineapple!

I don't think you can compare really, both useful tools but accuracy of both is limited

I think that Alexa is better but not more acurate than NetCraft. In terms of accuracy they are about the same.

We are using Cluster Maps
http://www3.clustrmaps.com/counter/m.../www.amray.com

on any given day their data has been 10 times higher than Alexa's

Both are limited as both have limited source of information. Usually people don't use their toolbar (simple users) as they just come online for needed information, its we webmasters are using their tools.
