Question Windows VPS slow internet through RDC

With Remote Desktop Connection download/upload speeds seem to be capped to barely anything like 50 KB/s. But going to speedtest.net (still in remote desktop) the server reads like 3600 KB/s. It seems like my host is smartly throttling my connection. Is there any way to get around this?

If your host is indeed throttling I doubt you can get around, maybe just drop an email to your host giving him the information and asking him why the differences. Maybe that would shame him enough to stop throttling you?

And may be you can conduct further tests with tools similar to http://www.snapfiles.com/get/MySpeedServer.html

Tried this program and it was faster readings than speedtest.net, way more accurate. http://i30.tinypic.com/2jd53d.jpg so 6,6375 KB/s download 6,0125 KB/s upload, would be great but there's no point in testing it when I can't get these speeds in normal use like I said, when I go to download something I am capped at like 40-50 KB/s same with uploading.
