We'd like to introduce our new fully-redundant modular VPS nodes, which use the Intel Modular Multi-Flex system.

Here are some photos of the first node to go live in Chicago..

All server blades in the system interact with an isolated and redundant RAID 5 virtual drive pool. The server blades themselves interface with all of the hard disks in the chassis separately, with one spare left to boot up immediately into the drive pool should any processor / motherboard / memory issue arise. The system also contains redundant, hot swappable power supplies, redundant gigabit network interfaces, and remote management interfaces.

We've currently got a few of these in Illinois- and are currently setting up all managed or Chicago VPS on these machines. VPS in other locations are still on RAID 5 dual Xeon, non-modular systems.
