    EpicVPS Review

Well as I'm sure you have all seen his threads if not the search button is your friend

So I posted some pretty hefty questions in his thread in the reviews section. The owner himself contacted me personally, he explained his network to me, some great features he's got cooking. So I took the bait, he had me hooked. I bought his mid-level plan, figured ok cool "Lets put him to the test" got my VPS in about 4 minutes, running. I thought ok cool this is pretty nice so far. Jumped into the root, did some WGETing around - decided ok whats a good fast mirror to really put his bandwidth to the test.

Thats right, its faster then every single dedicated server I have ever been with my entire life.

That was so fast, I minimized putty for a moment to change something and as I reopened it, it was done. Basically I about crapped myself, so then I went ahead and started running some apps, sure enough his 16 gig, Quad Xeon core server ran without a hitch. Everything I tossed at it opened instantly and responded as if it was my own personal computer.

So if anyone is looking to give a VPS a shot - I really recommend trying out EpicVPS first - he treats you right, and the product is worth double what he charges.

This is my first review, I give this company a stamp of approval I work in a professional market doing technical support. I work with high perfomance servers all day this takes the cake.

    -Steve

PS: THANKS RAGHAV!!!! You are an amazing person, your going to go far in this business.

They seem to rent servers from TMS since the IP you listed is TMS's IP. http://iptools.com/dnstools.php?tool....168&submit=Go

    Good luck.

I've got one of their $10 VPS and yes it's IP is reporting tailormadeservers.com
I'm based in the UK and I wasn't expecting much in terms of connectivity seeing as though we're talking middle America (Dallas) rather than East Coast but I've got to admit I've put up a test Coppermine gallery and it's loading quicker than a VPS I've got in London!
Early days yet but that's not bad! :-)

Yes, we do rent our VPS nodes from TMS. They have been great so far, issuing additional IP's and software licenses briskly when needed.

I'd like to thank Steve and slowdive for posting an honest review, I hope we continue to keep you happy

I know that EpicVPS has been new to the community as per 'VPS Providers' and their site looks pretty fine and dandy, along with thier plans.

==(> On another note, I spoke to Amaresh via AIM and he sounds like a really nice guy.

Hope EpicVPS is around for awhile. btw, Nice network.

I would also like to add that so far EpicVPS has been fantastic! I will be posting a full review as now I have only had their $10 VPS for a mere 24 hours, but the service, speed of the servers and network so far have been way above par.

    Keep it up epicvps!

Replying to a ticket in 3-6 minutes is doable for a new company. This all depends on the size of the company obviously..

How many servers do you have at the moment and how many VPSes do you host on each server?

Nice post here to see you are staying on topic. What does your comment about coppermine have to do with this review. Try keeping on topic.

Right now we've just 1 node online mate (second under assembling), with around 29 clients in it.

Thanks. I really appreciate your honesty.

I've also taken the bait and got an entry vps from EpicVPS and will be moving in during the following few days.

They've been great so far, but I'll post a more throughout review in a few months.

Yea I was probably a little premature with only having it for a short period, but I tell you what - the longer I been using it the more I'm enjoying it. I've recently scraped my HostGator dedi for them. I pay about 100$ less to, and I get double ram, more cpu power, and more storage/bandwidth! Figure that out, anyway I'm really happy here so far, I scrapped cPanel to try out the LXAdmin they bundle with all there servers for free and it works like a charm, does everything cPanel does - needs a little more thinking but its a great alternative to cPanel. Anyway thats just my 2 cents, now make change for a dollar.

Thanks for the reviews. To be honest, I looked at the website and it looked like they are developed and here to stay. They appear to have good quality as well.

I'm getting worried about the frequent downtime. On April 29 my vps was down for over an hour. EpicVPS told me one of their clients had a DDoS attack. Today I'm noticing more downtime. At the moment I can't access my vps and I don't know why it's down or when it'll be up again.

    This really doesn't look good.
