    Ok, me first.

This includes my main computer, wifes laptop, and i have a dell optiplex 320 and also a 520 that are sort of spare computers like for right now when my wifes laptop is in the shop.

10-current including 3 poweredge servers and 4 3ghz workstations : slowest being an acer aspire x2 3600+ w\ 1gb ram, 250gb hd and vista home premium

I buy/sell computers pretty regularly and ebay them and/or craigslist them.

I only have a laptop and a desktop now, but in college my roommates and I reached the mac address registration limit on our (non-commercial) router, which we found out was 64. Owning a lot of computers was a phase I went through, now I just keep it simple.

    I have

1 test & fileserver, 2,2 Ghz CPU with 2 GB of RAM. Mainly serves NFS.

1 light workstation, a 2 Ghz CPU with 1 GB of RAM. Most important thing is that the machine is quiet... nothing like a quiet room to work in.

1 "old" computer, a pentium 3 500 Mhz with 256 MB of RAM. Ironically I use this machine for performance testing.

    1 spare server

1 sun cobalt raq 550 to play with

I'm with you... I just dumped another one of my computers....

I don't use vmware, but I do use Microsoft's virtual pc.

Anyway, I use three daily, a laptop (dual xp/vista), desktop (xp), and windows home server (build off windows 2003). edit: And of course, I use my treo 700wx daily!!!

I use my mac and spare desktop weekly, mainly for testing (mac browsers, linux, etc...).

I've cut my computers down considerably... even more so after I put 4 gb of ram in my desktop... lol... I can run two 1 gb virtual PCs at the same time without any trouble.
