FrozenMidnightHosting - Need opinions
OKay let me tell you the story, in the quickest way I possibly can. I've been with this place for three years. I was there through the big hacking of the site where we all lost everything. My trust was a bit shot in them so I got a account for my added on domains elsewhere. Things got a bit better, it was up for a while and running smoothly (about a year, want to make a note of that)
Now, for the past three days, all the sites have been down, including the hosting companies main website (frozenmidnighthosting.com). I've left voicemail messages (5 to be exact) and gotten no response. I have emailed numerous times to the admin@frozenmidnight.com and support@forzenmidnight.com and have recieved nothing. Normally I wouldn't freak out, but I do host people off my domain.
Any suggestions of what the next step should be? Because I get the worst feeling that it's going to be like it was before. They are going to say that they were hacked and lost everything and that will lead to a whole lot of problems. So any suggestions of what to do next concerning this would be appreciated.

Three days seems to be pushing it. I hope you made backup copies for this reason.
I'm hoping that maybe its just a network error but honestly if a host is getting hacked like that, it might be time to maybe look elsewhere.
If you do decide to stick with them, I'd say to keep trying to contact them. Look up their whois and see if there is a number listed. If not, then maybe look up where the server is located (datacenter) and see if maybe they can give you a hand.
There are plenty of hosts around this forum that will be able to help you in just about any situation so welcome to the forum.

I would probably leave immediately, and find a more reliable provider.

The only reason I stuck with them for this particular domain was because I had a one time payment thing that I fought like a dog to scrap the money together for. Jamie used to be great. always on, now you can't even get him by phone or email or aim.
Once it comes back up and it better come back up *or there is going to be serious hell to pay from myself because i can not deal with cranky hostees again* I'll be saving everything and just leaving that domain dormant.

I wouldn't necessarily say they are closed down but it might be a possibility. If the server is down, then their site probably won't show up as well.
Do you know exactly where the host was located? You might be able to find another number.

whois.net/whois_new.cgi?d=frozenmidnighthosting&tld=com
that's what I get. I wouldn't even know how to go about contacting anyone but the number of Jamie's listed. and it goes directly to voicemail (seriously, I've tried about once every three hours....)

and then there was a 800 number as well but I think it directs to that number because it was the SAME voicemail message.

Kind of weird that he's registered to be in NV but the number points to Texas and the fax points to Ohio...
Anyway, I'll look into it and let you know if I find anything.

"This is not a surprise when you consider that the owner is one ‘Jamie Timbre’; a high school junior aged only 17."
This was posted last year. Don't know how reliable the source is but again, I'll look into it.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I've been with them since I got the domain in 2004, I'm just sad that it's come down to this.

I'm beginning to think maybe they just might be gone.
Do you not have any backups what so ever?

Unfortunately no. I had to get a new pc because my old one finally died, harddrive and all. I'm accepting the fact that I lost the information more than likely but I'm asking opinions on the next step besides finding new hosting (i've already done that with surpasshosting which has been very reliable for my friend and I for two years on the domain we share).
I'm asking so that if others ask around on forums I'm at, I'll be able to point them in a good direction of what to do next lol

jtimbre is the username he uses on WHT. I don't know how active it is but maybe send a PM that way.
(248) 855-5514
Try that number. Its a Landline to what appears to be his house. Maybe give his parents a heads up with whats going on.
