Which hosts will or won't let you run your own mail server?

The time scheduling application I'm going to host needs to be able to send emails directly from the server to remind people of their appointments, etc.

From what I hear GoDaddy blocks the email ports or something so you can't send mail from the server.

What are some good hosts that will let me send emails from the server, or at least let me relay it off of one of their servers?

GoDaddy doesn't allow outbound port 25 connections; apparently the only way they're able to detect if you are spamming is if they force you to relay through their STMP servers.

Nearly every single dedicated server provider except GoDaddy allows this.
