Angry

I Hate Domain Sitters!

I'm just figuring out a business name to register and I've come across several of the bastards.

Well, you could have started something to discuss.
How we gonna argue about not liking domain squaters?

Depends what they are doing with the domain. I have a number of domains which I have purchased for one reason or another over time (normally when I am drunk).

Most of them I'm not that fussed about - if someone wanted one and emailed me I'd most likely let it go.

Then I have a small collection that I plan to turn into sites eventually.

Am I a sitter?

I guess so, because you are sitting on them.

I'm wondering though - have you got any good ones?

The bad ones I let go, the ones I plan on developing I keep.

I figure if they are available at the time and no-one else has registered it then it's my good luck.

It's those psuedo search engines that really annoy me - pretending they're actually providing a service

One might ask the obvious and why you get the bad ones if you're just prepared to let them go?

I guess you can't be too bad since you replied to me about Aussie registrars - that made things heaps easier. Also visited your site and it looks really nice.

Anyway... back to brainstorming some more names - I want to register a business name tomorrow so I can work on my own site.

'cos they look better when you're drunk - I have a habit of going out on Saturday nights, getting pissed, then coming home and buying domains until I fall asleep. It's an addiction.

True, true.. You can also use subdomains if your preferred domain is already taken

I am allowed to buy a car and not use it in hopes of future profit, and I can do the same with a domain name. Why not?
