Question Emailsolution for a new ISP?

    Hi,
I'm looking for a good emailsetup for my new server (FreeBSD 4.6)
I'm running Apache 1.3.26 and PHP & Mysql current.

Which email setup is best if I would like to supply email access for my clients?
    I need -
    Pop/Imap
    WebMail
possibilties to admin "vhosts" for more than one domain.

    Greatful for advice
    Jim.

If I recall, the guy who wrote QMail offered 10,000 to anyone who could crack it. The offer was up for one year, and no one claimed.

You must be referring to qmail. Courier imap has had updates recently, and so has squirrelmail and qmailadmin. Anyway, qmail doesn't need security updates because the POP and SMTP protocols haven't changed. Although it sure could use some maintenance onces. IMHO.

qvcs-guide.sourceforge.net is another quick, easy to use qmail setup. i use it on my own freebsd and redhat servers, and the author updates it fairly often and there is a great support mailing list in case you need help.
