Surely it is good to have backup, even remote backup, but do you check them on a frequent basis to ensure that they are valid backup ?

What is your backup startegy and how do you verify your backups to ensure they are not corrupt and ok ?

Im interested in cpanel backup strategies.

Remote backups are the best solutions to make sure you have the data intact.

To verify whether the backups are updated correctly, check the time stamp.

To confirm whether the backups are non corrupt , untar the file and see if you can get the files.

These are simple ways to confirm the things you want , but may not be the best way
