    Looking for 3TB BW on a 1Gbps

    Hello guys.
This is what I'm looking for:

I need a server with 2.5/3 TB of monthly bw, with 1Gbps uplink, cause sometimes I get more than 100Mbps.

Do you have any idea where I can find this?

    Thanks

Most dedicated server providers who offer 3TB/mo can upgrade your server to 1Gbps uplink for an extra fee. Just ask them!

It might cost you around 20$ on average to upgrade your port speed, but most providers should be able to provide you with one. Also, make sure you pick a server close to the area where your visitors are from, so your speed is actually useful.

Nope the problem isn't the amount of bw, but that sometimes I get more than 100Mbps of usage.

You should be careful with 1Gbps port. If your server is being got DDoS attacks, you will be faced with a big bill of bandwidth overages.

If I did my math right, they could use up that bandwidth in under 7 hours.

Most European providers can do this for you, just mail a few of them with a request.

They aren't a SL reseller. Rapidswitch is one that is offering 10000gb bandwidth and they should be able to get you a 1000mbps port.

midPhase does resell softlayer servers with 10TB traffic. They are a devision of UK2.net, which is their European brand.

Check the offers forum. I have seen a couple offers with 2-3TB on Gbit for under 100 euro/month in the past few days.

My mistake, I just started a thread in which single hop made it sound like midPhase was their colocation customer.

Are those 10TB plans for real? I could actually use up that amount, but I'd be worried about being throttled like crazy once they start losing money on me.

Absolutely real.. you have a reserved 10TB of transfer per month on all our plans. It's part of the special arrangement we made with SoftLayer.
