If I manufactured my own clothing line that consisted of cute halter top dresses similar to this http://15dollarstore.com/img/5026_1_82_p.jpg and tops in tropical and animal prints... do you think the name "Tropical Fetish" is a good name for the clothing line or no good? I hope people won't think it's a sexual thing since it has the word fetish in it?

I need a cool name... like "Tommy Bahama" or "Bahama Joe". You guys know and have heard of "Tommy Bahama", right? I need a cool tropical name like that but everything is already taken.

I already have the name JP Wear "Just Perfect" (as in it fits just perfect) but "JP Wear" is not a cool name. Tommy Bahama wouldn't be this successful today if they had the name JP Wear! It's not a good name, the name is very important.

But can't fetish also be like a woman who has a shoe fetish for example... she just loves shoes but not in that way if you know what I mean?

But even if Tropical Fetish was thought to be associated as sexual... since the clothing will be cute n 'sexy... would that really be a bad thing?

Fetish is normally associated negatively, Tropical is more towards Sunshine, but if used together Tropical Fetish seemed to be more of a tendency towards a sunny life. It is innovative and would be a more memorable name given a little bit of naughtiness in the "Fetish" wording.

Not a bad thing for branding!

Unfortunately, "fetish" will make people think sexuality.
How about something like: "Devil's Triangle Collection"?

I like Tropical Fetish. It probably depends on your intended audience, but a sexual association isn't necessarily bad.

I also like Burak's suggestion of "Devil's Triangle".

Another idea with your original idea would be in your logo to downplay the "et" in fetish...make 'em smaller, turn them to face vertical, etc. Then it'll look something like:

I just asked a friend and shes loves the name "Tropical Fetish" for a tropical clothing line. She says it's catchy and cool and is MUCH better than JP Wear. Plus my clothing will be cute n' sexy so the sexual reference is actually appropriate in a way.

So I guess I am going to pick "Tropical Fetish"!

I was worried you guys would hate that name... I am happy to see otherwise...

yeah..Tropical Fetish is pretty catchy and should stick on the lips of potential fetish lovers and even those people just looking for something that little different.

Maybe a new line in wrinkle proof WHT T Shirts and Edible G Strings for the coming year.
