    Swiftway anyone?

Does anyone here have servers with Swiftway? Can anyone recommend them? Pros vs Cons? How is their network?

    Thanks in advance

Hi we have had 2 servers for about 2 months..

we have experienced 1 downtime of about 12 hours (complete network outage, power failure to the network). Also it took over 10 days to get a server reformated, which ended up losing a customer for us (as a reseller).

The network, when up, seems to be good. They also have competitive pricing.

Reinstallation is done within 24 hours. If you have a SLA it is done within the time your SLA states that a reinstall should be done.

If you ask for a reinstall, clearly state all information needed for our staff: unique server number, operating system, desired partitions
and order number / client ID for verification purposes.

Please contact us in regards to the network outage. As far as i know, we never had a full network outage. But if you, as a client, experienced any network outages on your part of the network, then we are very sorry for the inconvenience.

elektrica: Can you provide us with a domain name that you have hosted with Swiftway? You can submit it to us at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/helpdesk/ if you don't want it displayed publicly. Thanks!

12 hours downtime is a show stopper for most. I can only imagine how much money I'd loose if my services were offline for that period of time. not just the loss of sales via that period but the issues with people seeing it as unprofessional and the knock on effect

If we would have a 12 hour full network outage, then there would be a long thread on this forum about it, amongst others. As you can see, there is no such thread.

We have several peering connections and a connection to fiberring with the following transit providers: Abovenet, TeliaSonera, GlobalCrossing, KPN Eurorings and Teleglobe.

Actually, Swiftway/Neoworld has been down for 12 hours nonstop due to a 6gbit DDoS:

    http://www.webhostingtalk.nl/melding...d-netwerk.html
There is another topic in the dutch wht.

And if you google for swiftway, you will find this article spread on a dutch isp online "newspaper"

    http://www.google.com/translate?u=ht...&hl=nl&ie=UTF8

My dutch is not that great, but the article explains that no one of swifgway was available during this outage and that the 6gbit ddos was not seen on their upstream graph.

But again, that was in 2006..

This was before Eureka Solutions acquired the Swiftway network and Swiftway brand from Neoworld Limited. Eureka Solutions upgraded and improved the network considerably after it was purchased from Neoworld.

The network was in that time also hosted in another datacenter (TelecityRedbus).
