experiences of windows server 2008?
anyone using windows 2008 server?
how is it going for you?
i've heard it can take up quite a bit of hdd space - how much does it take up for you?
is it worth upgrading from 2003?
I won't recommend upgrading as Windows upgrading basically tends to break a lot of things, they do not really cater to upgrading. But for new servers I would recommend maybe start using Windows 2008.
i wouldnt upgrade just yet
Ive tried to get it working and every time I've failed.
There appear to me at least to be networking issues on multi homed machines
I'd wait till its out of beta before using it in production tbh.
Even if its officially out of beta (not sure if it is or not) I still consider any ms product beta until service pack 1, then give service pack one a few months before considering it safe to use.
At least imo, I would not jump on it right away.
I'm actually a bit surprised I havent heard much about Windows 2008 Server yet.
If its anything in the ballpark of Vista it may be better to wait for the first service pack.

Its out, but it does appear buggy, at least that was my issue on my local setup here, and the same problem confused softlayer who are already selling it
