Each to his own I guess. But a complete waste IMO.

A Mcdonald worker wins 2.7 million dollars??? Nice, maybe he'll quit the crappy job, and try to get a decent paying job. Hopes he puts it to good use.

He did put it to good use....

He probaly put it in a mutal fund or a CD account
which he makes more money off the interest.

Good for him, he will probably still have that or more in 15 years where most lottery winners are broke in short time!

Maybe he likes his job. Not everyone is in it for the money. Why would he have to get a descent playing job? He has 2.7 million.
How many web hosts does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Well, the 2.7 million dollars won't be there for ever. So might as well try and get a decent paying job to still get some money coming in.

I would of done the same. Why would you quit your job?

2.7 million is a drop in the bucket, unless you have a solid plan on how to make that money earn a decent wage for yourself.

This guy must be a down to earth person who is happy with what he's doing. A man who is not obsessed with money. That is admirable!!!

I've always said if I won the lottery I would live off the interest that it delivers and not off the actual winnings. Well... I might buy a few pairs of shoes with the winnings, but that's all.

There was a ticket in Europe for about $14m that went unclaimed by the winner and it was getting $2,000 interest each day.

Full credit to the guy for going back to work. Like Aussie Bob said (Wow, you have a lot of posts in this community of ours, Aussie Bob) there's more to life than money (and shoes).

I would go nuts without something to do. If I had that much money, I'd start a business and invest just enough to still sustain myself off interest should things not work out. That way I'm doing work and it can be whatever I want.
