What to do when a reseller leaves you hanging

    Hi All.

Im in a very tough position....

Ordered a server from a reseller and they informed me that they are no longer reselling dealing with this company.

This was just after i had moved all my sites over to them after numerous problems with setup.

I had just paid an admin to do the transition........its a free site benefiting animal causes. So my budget is smallie

of course the TOS states no refunds....but they provided the wrong hardware on two occasions.....

im not sure if i have any recourse....

    any suggestions would be appreciated

    thank you or your time

I would try to contact the datacenter directly, and see if they'll help you out at all.

    You didn't prepay did you?

i did....havent heard back about transferring.....so im in a jam.

I could move....but dont have a lot of time....so im sort of stuck...pay them for another month...and get "best effort" support.....or try to find another host quick.

unfortunately my app requires a ded server.......and is a free, animals rescue effort. ......so my budget is very tight.....

i am also removing my sig...so it doesnt seem fishy, as i had links to the site in there...

It is a burst reseller...and I did get a wonderful response from them (Burst) when i contacted directly...problem solved in 10 minutes after i was down for 24 hours through the resller....

So if anyone can suggest an action plan it would be apprecated..

If you like burst, stay with burst. If you don't find someone with a server they can get you live on in a short timeframe. The offers section might be worth looking through as many offer very rapid deployment. Look here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=36.

    Good luck,

Agreed - if you do decide to move servers, contact your potential provider, and ask them how long the set up would be.

Just move right to burst. They allow this sort of thing and I assume that your reseller has no issue with that.

    Actually it is not.

Once I get my server over to a new host, I will post details (possibly)

I dont want my current provider to shut me off until i complete the transfer.

I am paid until the 1st of the month

    wish me luck
