Server seems busy
I have a pages with high load - load avg is about 10-20.
and in the error_log of the apache message:
[Mon Mar 17 18:10:19 2008] [info] server seems busy, (you may need to increase StartServers, or Min/MaxSpareServers), spawning 8 children, there are 6 idle, and 32 total children
I have in apache:
What values should be of these parameters for the such high traffic pages?
I changed only in the middle time to the Default: MaxRequestsPerChild 10000. But please, maybe you have some ideas?
Looks like you are spawning apache processes too often?
Maybe increase MaxSpareServers 20 to 36?
It doesn't helps:

Surely that error message means that apache is spawning new child processes, which it should only do if the number of spares is too low (eg if you have a traffic surge)
The above shows that you have 66 child proesses,13 idle (hence it's adding more as you've set minspareservers to 15)
You need to get to the point where it's not spawning new processes all the time, but also is not having loads spare. with 66 running, perhaps set
it wont be right first time...
what specs are your server?
try doing this
