Yes, they attempt to rob a police station

In a spectacular case of poor planning, 2 boys on Wednesday tried to rob 2 civilian employees inside a Florida police station.

The youths, ages 12 and 14, summarily were taken into custody at gunpoint by several officers who were there taking a defensive tactics course, said Officer Robert Vega, Port St. Lucie police spokesman.

The 14-year-old also faces a violation of probation charge.

I never imagine that some human could be so much dumber than dumb. They walked into a police station where almost everyone in there have a gun? Unbelievable.

I'd always had NZ pictured as a quite place to go on vacation... one of the places I've not made it to yet... but your description does not make me want to visit anytime soon.

You had two police stations robbed... not "attempted robberies?"

I'd never heard of robbing a police station... it is crazy. I have no doubt if given a gun and opportunity, those kids would pull the trigger on someone in a minute... that is what is scary... at their age, they are certain to be back on the streets.

But I guess every deserves a chance at rehabilitation.

That is just plain stupid. There are always a few police officers armed in a police station and it's just a death wish if you try to rob the place. If you do rob a police station what would you even try to get?
