    WHMCS directory

Hey guys I have my current installation of whmcs to http://www.mydomain.com/clients

Ive noticed many companies having it intalled to http://secure.theirdomain.com/clients/

Is there any reason for having it intalled to a subdomain?

    is it because of SSL?
what would happen if I installed a SSL on my current setup would the SSL be intalled on www? is that bad? dosent it mean the whole site is secure then?

    Thanks,
    sry im a newbie

You may be over-looking the difference between http:// and https://

Does not matter how you install it, some installed it in a sub-directory to help keep there dir clean and easier to add / edit things.

When you buy your SSL cert buy it for www.yourdomain.com and it will work with SSL they way you have it installed.
