The order panel doesn't seem to give a choice between xen/virtuozzo, or a choice of centos 4/5.

What spec machines are these on, presumeably they have no raid and are older cpus?

Currently we are just doing OpenVZ based and you can reload the OS as needed. The servers are Dual or Quad Core system with RAID-1 or higher

I've never used a VPS before (have had a dedi for 2 years though).

    1. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?p=5005633 <-- is this the case? If I choose LXAdmin, can I try it and rebuild/reinstall the OS if I don't like it?

    2. my plan is to take Ubuntu (I assume you're installing 7.10) and dist-upgrade to hardy's alpha (due out in one month), because I'd rather set everything up now and then enjoy hardy's 5 or 7 years of support. Is dist-upgrading a guest OS a bad idea for some reason (other than upgrading to an pre-release version)?

    3. Can I have an IP in UK datacenter to ping? And maybe some test file to download... .

    Hi
    1) Sure its no problem to rebuild/re-install as needed. LXAdmin is currently on CentOS btw

    2) apt-get dist-upgrade is fine and should work ok. We've seen the occasional issue with /dev getting messed up but that is about it

    3) Test IP's 85.234.33.2 and 77.74.198.2

    Thanks
