You can virtualize your server using Xen. Create to Xen Virtual Machines, one Linux and one Windows.

That'll only work if the processor has VT extensions though won't it?

To create Windows VM, I believe you will need VT-CPUs.

If you could take the short downtime on the websites it would be very easy to do using MS Virtual Server 2005. The catch is you would have to install Windows Server on the host machine and then you can create the Linux and/or Windows Virtual Machines (VPS). If you have the RAM and CPU available you could actually do a setup like:

VM-1 Linux
VM-2 Windows
VM-3 Dedicated MSSQL
VM-? ***

Another benefit of the VPS with SQL is it only consumes one MSSQL processor license regardless of how many physical procs are on the host.

I doubt it's MySQL he is wanting to run. I believe it is MSSQL.
