Attention ALL Anti-Spammers. Need your Help

    Hello,

I am posting this message because I need some help from all the anti-spammers out there.
Recently my 14 year old son received a message which contained a link to the website www.halfpricecigs.com, his email account is with hotmail and has all sorts of filters in it.
The message still reached his inbox and smart ass that he is, he successfully bought a carton of Cigarettes online using my ID,
Needless to say he has gotten what he deserved, I am pursuing legal action against spammers and my attorney informs me I need 10,00 Domain names or contat information of website owners who spam to promote theie sites , I have already gotten a list of over 900 from Spam Cop and Spamhaus, I need the help of all anti spammers to email me any domain name that is Included in spam that they receive, please do not email me IP addressess as that does not help, I need spammers Domains preferably active websites, all the domains submitted will be verified with over 5 anti spam agencies before they will be submitted to my attorney.
You can email me the list at suethespammer@yahoo.com

I would greatly apprecite it if you could provide me with any information with jeopardizing you position or reputation , either domain names or valid email addressess of know spammers

    Please help

    Thank you

To be honest, this is the Internet. There are a lot of lamers out there, and if you don't want your son to see it all, then he shouldn't have access. Simple as that.

I don't promote any form of spamming, but there are far too many spammers to stop them all. 70% of the Internet is porn.

This post is a joke right? I'm sorry to break it to you but there are a LOT of people that not only hate spam but have tried to eliminate it from the Internet. And I can you that it just isn't going to happen.

My first suggestion would be to spend money for your email account. Hotmail is a haven for spam...probably ALMOST as bad as AOL. Any free service is probably going to sell your info to scumbags.

I'd be more worried about your son than the spammers at this point

    Good Luck

Is your attorney retained on an hourly basis by any chance, and has insisted on verifying all 10,000 cases...

It is nice that you want to take action, but it is hardly going to do anything for you. Here are my suggestions if you really want your child to be safe from spam...

Use one of these mail servers:
    1) MyRealBox.com = not a beautiful interface, but you'll find you hardly EVER receive spam (I haven't received a piece)

    2) YahooMail.com = they are pretty good about spam, and have a better interface, however I believe spam just goes to the bulk mail folder, which doesn't delete.

Tell your son to be careful where he gives his email address out ... if he signs up for multitudes of mailing lists, contests, whatever, then you woun't prevent spam too well. I really recommend myrealbox, you'll find you hardly receive any spam...

I have to agree that if you don't want spam, you shouldn't use a hotmail email account. It's been my experience that ou will automatically get over 5 spams within a minute of creating an account.

You are probably right, if one was really upset at a promotional spammer, they wouldn't list the URL which is a sure way for them to get free advertising. Maybe the reason they want 10,000 addresses, is so they can add more to their database to spam.
    Otherwise why this statement?
. . . please do not email me IP addressess as that does not help, I need spammers Domains preferably active websites, . .
I find most times, I can get a domain from an IP, and besides, the only way to verify the actual sender, would be to include the entire header, which would also include the "sent to" address as well.
    Nice try, but "No Dice."

Assuming this isn't what it seems (a rather mild scam to get pageviews), I hope whatever lawyer you got is cutting you a break on the hourly fee, because that sort of demand is ridiculous coming from anyone who knows anything about spam. Go read news.admin.net-abuse.sightings if you want all the spam you can eat. If I were of a sadistic nature, I'd suggest that you paste this amusing item in news.admin.net-abuse.email....

My ISP's email account gets no spam whatsoever and it's Blueyonder although there email never works well hardly works anyway.
You know schools in Edinburgh give there students Hotmail accounts instead of the schools own email address/account (if any).
Ever since i submitted with that worldsubmitter and stupidly put my email account down for my site i get like 10 Spam emails a day but none of them are porno ones but still very annoying.

Thats why my first question was "this is a joke right"? I didn't go to the site for half price cigarettes. I tend to stay away from links associated with foolish posts for that reason. That way if this IS a cheap way to get hits I will not have contributed.

Good way to disguise spam , I guess this is what they have to do to get noticed now?

What is your case? That someone sent you (your son) a link in an email about cigs on sale on the internet and your son took your ID and posed as you to buy the merchandise?

Haha... I'd love to see the transcript of that court hearing; if the judge doesn't throw it out first.

This isn't a any trick to get views to halfpricecigs.com. I neither own the site or know the owner on any level but the info I get from the whois lookup

I'm pretty lost now. What relevance does the domain information have here now? It proves nothing as far as your relationship, if any, with the owner of the site and it adds nothing to discussion. Just odd.

    Question

Mabe I am a bit stupid or something but how on earth can you sue 10,000 people with just knowing there domain... Mabe its USA law but usally you need proof before you can start sueing people..... Why not just sue the people that spammed your mail box if you realy want to make a point of it... I just can't see how you could posibly sue all those people and why on earth your lawyer needs 10,000 active domain names it's just not making sence to me mabe someone else could explain that to me.

I'll go one better. How about worry more that your son is stealing your ID to buy cigarettes instead of worrying about spam. Thats really the best way to attack this problem. Screw the spam...it will never go away.

You know....you can almost sue anyone for anything in the US. Of course, some things are going to the extreme.

This post is in fact very odd since i can't believe that a site with 1500 visitors (counter) is a spammer.

Our company has a "spam database" and this site is NOT listed there etc.

Anyway... if your son has placed an order i would try to keep my creditcards / checks etc. secure.

If your son has access to your cc# or if you give him any chance to order something i have to say that it is your fault..

I hate spam too and we have a lot of fights with spammers but keep in mind that you are responsible if your son can order something without that you notice it...
