    Suggestion for Reseller?

Alright so, my reseller just dropped out on me the other day. All my sites, and his site are now completely down.

Here are the specs of the previous reseller:

    60GB Space

    600GB Bandwidth

    Overselling allowed

    Unlimited:
    -Accounts
    -Amails
    -MySQL
    -Domains / Sub Domains

For $9.99 a month. Any suggestions for places that have around this?

Uhhh, did it ever enter your mind that the reason your reseller host went down is because they offered so much for so little? Do you really want to go down that road again?

You're getting half a server's worth of resources for 10 bucks? Didn't that raise any questions on your end?

Try finding a reseller that allows overselling, but with more realistic price plans...they'll probably manage the servers better, and be around longer, allowing you to serve your clients better.

I know it's nice to be able to create 60 accounts that bring in over 300 bucks a month on a ten dollar investment, but you're running a razor's edge when it comes to service and realiability...

Did these guys just cut and run? Did you pay long term, or were you month to month?

I paid monthly, but I added about 200$ credit on the account. I don't know why they would run off though, they've been in the business for over 7 years now.

Could it be they had their service suspended higher up the chain?

Rather than focusing on vengeance, take this as a sign that your business must switch to a solid foundation (hurtful as it may be). As Sampdoria said, $10 for those resources, is not it.

I mean maybe they were buying services from someone and couldn't/didn't pay their bills....meaning that they didn't pack up, but were shut down.

Revenge? No. I simply want my $200 back.

Give it some time, maybe they come back online and you can continue with/get your money from them. If they're truly gone, you should be able to do a chargeback (contact your bank) for services not rendered.

That may indeed be a serious impediment, as intangible items are not covered by their dispute process. I did hear of people getting their money back anyway though.

Looks like www.sphosting.com is back up and running...and they dropped their price to $9/month for 60/600 gigs on a month by month term. Maybe they were overhauling the look of their site or something.
