Try and disable iptables then try again.

    /etc/init.d/iptables save
    /etc/init.d/iptables stop

Make sure the ports are open in your firewall.

If your firewall is blocking your ssh and your cpanel have your datacenter disable your firewall or if you have kvm access you can do it yourself. I would recommend installing APF firewall and make sure you set the correct ports.

It could also be the firewall on your PC or your ISP is blocking the ports.

Did you enter in a wrong pass or user too many times and you have blocked yourself from your server? is so you will need to flush your bruteforce database.

    have to tried yourip/cpanel yourip/whm?

Have you got firewall software running on the server blocking access to those ports? is it only you that cant login or your clients too?

Are any pertinent messages logged to the error_log? Try executing `tail -f /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log`, then attempt to establish another connection. Generally if cPanel faults, some sort of information would be logged here.

You could also try tracing the process if you're brave

    Code:
    strace -vvFf -s 4096 -o /root/strace.cpsrvd `cat /var/run/cpsrvd.pid`

    serverdoctor,

    [[email protected] ~]# tail -f /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log
tail: cannot open `/usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log' for reading: No such file or directory
    tail: no files remaining

    still can't login,!!
