Server Load...

With my current host i'm having a serverload of 10.x sometimes in 4 cpu's.
The image is in red then if this occurs, that must be high.
But how much do you hosters allow to use?
And how much percent is a usage of 10.x ?

In my cpanel stats:

Server Load: 10.80 (4 cpus)

Kind regards

If you have 4 cpu's your load should not be higher than 4.

Shared I guess?

If this is commanplace I'd seriously started packing up my account/site(s) and moving

Some hosts oversell and pack as many as possible into them but, then leave it as long as they can and then maybe get another package/server and move some of the accounts off (high/low) and balance them out accordingly

My host has 8 cpu's and is never above 1.x

Load doesn't really measure the % of CPU usage, it just shows how many processes are in Queue to be processed.
