WHT Group Hug
School Bans Hugs Over 2 Seconds
MESA, Ariz. -- A school policy banning student hugging prompted dozens of east Valley students to protest with a giant group hug across the street from campus.
"I think it's ridiculous," said Chelsea Branham, a 14-year-old student at Shepherd Junior High School in east Mesa.
Branham said she got detention this week for hugging her friend after school.

Hah, how nice. I remember when pink was banned for a year because it was deemed a gang color....Administrators at my high school never seemed to have any kind of intuition about things and always miss by a mile when resolving issues. I remember freshman year playing hacky sack was also banned just because the principal happened to get hit by one one day. RETARDED!

They tried to enstate uniforms at my junior high school way back when, and because of some law the parents could claim exemption to the uniforms (I don't recall, but I think it was something religion-related, or whatnot. Something that didn't make much sense to me.)
Long story short, half the school didn't end up having to wear them because they had parents who either didn't care or who were wrapped around their fingers.██ HermeTek Network Solutions

I grew up in Greece and girls in high school had to wear blue uniforms; boys did not. Some girls got away with it by wearing physical education forms all day, when it was a PE day Later on, uniforms were not required anymore. I missed all the wild dress-up days, unfortunately.
