    Unhappy Faster Internet?

Well, I live in the UK (Aberdeen, Scotland to be exact). My phone line is currently limited to 3mbps( ) and I want FAST Internet. Probably fiber optic, looking for around 10-24mbps.

Most places don't like it where I live (IE, the service aint available in my area).

Any suggestions? They will be much appreciated.

Don't you get be and or Virgin Media (cable) in Aberdeen?

Failing that move to cabled area

It aint that bad Ben, I'm just fed up of

    1) Tiscali
    2) Having to wait ages just for a download,

Encoderz, Nah It's available everywhere else in scotland (Virgin) in the main cities, but aberdeen still has the "not available" in your area sorta thing .

BE is only in england aswell...

    Thank's for the suggestions though.

Well i am usually download OS for computer repair clients and it takes far too long and i cant get virgin as there are no cables.

Also although you have a 3mb line i am assuming this is up to 3mb the chances are you will only recive 1-2mb of speed depending on how many people are using there servers.

    Take a look at www.samknows.com

See if anyone like BE/Easynet etc have unbundled your exchange. If you chances are you can get 8mb ADSL or 24mbit ADSL2.

Failing that your stuck waiting for BT to upgrade the exchange unless you are willing to pay => 15,000 annually for a BTNET connection close to 10mbit 1:1 on a 3 year contract.
