Any FDCservers.net customers...What did your server "come" with?
I had another thread open asking for help on how to install it but reading along, i think i've been duped. Was i only supposed to recieve a server with one anaconda.cfg file on it? Or is there more to the whole deal?
When you purchased your FDC server, what was included?
for example, when i signed on with Rackshack they sent me an email stating:
"here is your IP:
your control panel can be accessed at this web address:
you may access FTP with this username and password:
etc."
just wondering if i should have recieved something similar from FDCservers besides an IP and a username and pass for SSH

FDCServer only has unmanaged servers as far as I know! That's why it's so cheap!www.idologic.com - Reseller, VPS and dedicated hosting - Friendly Customer Service - DirectAdmin - cPanel - InterWorx

The anaconda.cfg is the file left behind by the redhat installation program. It is located in /root.
There are thousands of files on the system besides anaconda.cfg. You must have been just looking in /root.
Try "cd /" and "ls" to see what you have.
