Helm or Command Matrix for Windows hosting?

Which control panel would be advisible for Windows servers?

    1. Helm (webhostautomation.com)

    or

    2. Command Matrix (etrinix.com)

I would just like some input from some of the more experienced widows hosters unlike me, a *nix guy.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rdh

Commandmatrix doesnt look like it does anything more than hostingcontroller....

if you're expecting to expand and want a complete management solution i'd go for HELM,

we're using it a the minute and it is rather sweet

depends on your budget, every one can argue that this control panel is better or this one is, but go with what you think is best.

by the way, am i correct to assume that you are planning to run the windows server as a standalone server? If you are, then your only options are the Command Matrix, Hosting controller and Ensim!, H-sphere and HELM (as far as i know) need more then 1 server to function.

    HELM only needs 1 server,

you also have the option to seperate things up ie. seperate servers for mail, DNS, web, HELM, SQL etc....

    hmm....

$ 1000 for the first server ( and control server )
$ 500 for each other server...

    outlay for say 5 servers - $ 3000

mail server, say mailenable, $0, or the pro version if you want web mail and http mail etc.. under $ 200....

    or you can pay monthly....

its still cheaper than CPanel for Linux with way more involved......

I think considering HELM's pricing structure, H-Sphere is a better solution.

For lets say 1000 clients they would most probably offer you a rate of $3.5/client, and you will be able to offer unix as well as windows 2000 hosting, not to mension a really gr8 support system, support for 6+ merchant gateways, a site builder, installable scripts along with 99% of the perks HELM offers...

Considering that, h-sphere is the best way to go!

jonny b, I am sorry that I have offended you and your software... This was never my intension. Please accept my apologies for this....

Frankly I cant say much about HELM since its not available for trial or purchase yet and I have not seen its production level release, so I guess I will have to take your word for the GREAT features HELM offers "WHEN" it is released and ask my boss to stop hosting windows 2000 clients till its is. From your posts, it looks like H-Sphere & Command Matrix (which we currently use for windows hosting) and Cpanel (which our company uses for UNIX hosting) are all 3rd grade solutions...

jonny b, EVERY control panel which is releases has a few unique features, no company can afford to halt its expansion till a particular control panel is out...

Our company chose H-sphere since we found it the best cp for windows hosting that was AVAILABLE in the market at the time we started to offer Windows 2000 hosting.

Now my company is shifting our Windows 2000 clients to the Command Matrix since we don't intend to use H-sphere's unix interface (our clients prefer cPanel) and it costs a bit more per client to maintain...

Suggest people the best thing that's available NOW, not something that is yet to be released!
