    Google’s CAPTCHA cracked

    http://www.websense.com/securitylabs...php?BlogID=174

Bad news if Google doesn't do something soon... I don't think anyone wants to blacklist Google IP space.

Knowing Google, it won't be long before a new version is out. But it's interesting to see it cracked nonetheless.

Definitely bad news considering how many people signed up for gmail... Google, I hope you read this and take note.

The problem is hackers are using humans to break Google's CAPTCHA. There are enough people wanting to recognize pictures for say $3/h or whatever hackers pay. It is the next stage in hacker/web_service war.

Why are google still allowing signups in light of this security breach?

I hope Spamhaus and Sorbs blacklist them then they might start taking some responsibility.
I could tell you a joke about UDP. But I'm not sure you would get it!

I don't think spamhaus or sorbs will black list them... to many e-mails will go to trash can. We should expect some spam at gmail until Google invents a good protection.

    Better known than unknown .

Sorbs still exists? That guy has a lot of time on his hands, what with running a crappy blacklist, having a job, and reverting edits on WikiPedia.

I think its a shame that the big companies dont get held accountable in the way a smaller one would.

They already have in the past. We had to move off of Google Apps because of it. Emails started to bounce left and right. Google admitted to it but claimed it was "our" responsibility to get spamhour and other blacklists to remove google's(not our) mail servers. Logical Huh
