    need help : Forbidden /You don't have permission to access

    In my VPS:
    I have given to one of my clients a reseller, sometimes, it shows an error, when he enters his Forum:

    Forbidden

    You don't have permission to access /vb/showthread.php on this server.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    The weird thing is, when that error comes, will appear on all other forums in the same time in his reseller!

    I have tried to use some solutions such as :

    1- Create .htaccess file and add the following code
    Code:
    <IfModule mod_security.c>
    SecFilterEngine Off
    SecFilterScanPOST Off
    </IfModule>

    2- I increase MaxSpareServers in httpd.conf.

    None of the above helped!

    So, please am looking 4 help ?!

    This seems to be an issue with the file permissions. Firstly check if the files/folders have correct permission.

    Dig in the Apache Error_log for the exact issue or get the idea about the root-cause!

    It depends on the webserver configuration. html, php should have 644 permission and folders 755 permission. There could be <Directory> tag options that prevents the users from accessing the site.

    which control panel you are using?
    almost all control panel have file manager built in, there you can see file/folder permissions.
    You can also check in SSH, with dir --full command.
