    * Welcome to WHT!

    Hi

    Well theirs many hosts to choose from, after being with Servage anything is a bonus

    I used to be with them and yep I know they deny any problems with anything - it's part of their business model (in my opinion).

    I'm obviously gonna recommend my host

    * Welcome to WHT!

    I take it you've looked at the obvious like firewall?

    I have been with Servage awhile ago and no they aren't the best.

    Have you seen the offers sub-forum?

    I know they're terrible but, Servage FTP wouldn't be off all the time!

    Did you manage at any point to use FTP with them and have you tried elsewhere using FTP and does that work fine?

    Come on!

    Your with a host that is a known massive overseller and I don't think you get ssh to be able to pack and unpack via ssh on Servage to make it easier for you.

    You pay ... what ... (approx) 5 p/m ...

    In your original post you said "... php , mySql and the normal stuff ..."

    Well ... wishing to upload five and half million files isn't 'normal'

    You don't have to have a paypal account to use paypal. You can pay via creditcard.

    MediaLayer's new billing system (which will directly accept credit cards) is under development. In the meantime, you should be able to pay through PayPal using your credit card without an account.

    Sign up for an account and when you get redirected to PayPal's payment page, you can directly enter a credit card to pay.

    sign out of your account and delete your cookies so it doesn't auto sign you in. Then it will show you the credit card payment form.

    The hosts that seem to have great reviews here that I see recommended a lot are. Downtownhost, Medialayer, Precision effect, steadfast, cartikahosting, crucialwebhosting, iron mountain

    There might be a few more but those are the hosts the come off the top of my head, and I don't think you could really go wrong with any of them.

  35. #35
    i signed up with them ... uploaded a data base ... tried uploading over 30 files using ftp ... everything ran smoothly ...

    @MadnessD I have been with Steadfast Networks in the past, and had a pleasant experience as a client in their share hosting environment.
