West Coast Dedicated Server Recommendation

Hello,

I am currently looking for a dedicated server in the USA West Coast (In California or above). I have been through many, many companies and all of they have thier downsides. Wether it be too little bandwidth, or the cpu. I am looking for a dedicated server, max 50-60$ USD Monthly. Bandwidth has to be atleast 2-3TB. If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate it if you could share.

Just to let you know, here are some of the companies I have already looked into..

dediwebhost.com
dedicatedbox.net
managemyservices.com

I know that price seems a bit low, but I remember before I came across this before for a company located in LA. Just cant remember teh name.

Also, just to put things into comparison. Possibly a company like volumedrive.com but in the west coast. (Volumedrive is east coast).

Thanks,
Tommis

I think the main issue in your search is budget. Either up the budget, or look for a VPS instead of dedicated.

Hey,

Yes, alright. 70-80 USD is the max max. Is this possible at that price? Anyone have any recommendations? I am sure this is possible.

Cya,
Tommis

Have you thought that maybe the reason you're jumping through many many companies is because your budget is still too low?

You're taking the price of someone who obviously can't perform and expecting others to do the same for the same rate. It probably shouldn't be any surprise they can't perform either.

2-3TB/mo is going to cost your provider probably well above $60 - 90/month for cheap bandwidth. You haven't even begun to factor in hardware costs and other expenses at that point.

Why are you asking if it's possible, you already are sure it is. :p

You'll have much better success if you bump your budget to "under $100". You listed a few web hosters above and I gather you've nixed them. Is it because you tried their services and did not like it, or because they simply weren't able to hit your price point on the outset?

The low cost dedicated servers tend to be slightly older or lower-end processor technologies. Certainly fine for small sites or static sites (even dynamic sites not pushing too much bandwidth). If you're running something very dynamic and pushing 3TB of transfer you might want to consider something more current generation.

I see that PacificRack currently has the following promotion:

CPU: P4 2.8GHz 512kb Cache
RAM: 1GB DDR
HDD: 120GB PATA
IPs: 5 Usable
Network Port: 100mbps
Bandwidth: 2000GB

Price: $79 per month

My experiences with PacificRack have been nothing but great.

Hope this helps!

Hey,

I have one from dedicated box atm for 45 USD Monthly, and it is working great. But I need more bandwidth. I know my budget is low, but there are many good providers out there who offer that type of service. For example like i said above, VolumeDrive. I have a server off them too and its great. How can they offer me a server at such a low price with 3TB bandwidth? From what you tell me lightwave, it is not possible. :/ Im not asking of too much, if you do not know of any recommendations, please dont post. I already know what bandwidth costs ect. I came here to get help, not to get critized and slapped.

Thankyou HackNoAlex

Cya,
Tommis

High-bandwidth, low-cost, west coast. Probably want to checkout Krypt.com.

I don't have any experience with their service, but their products fit your requirements.
