    Servers reboot all by itself

I currently have two servers with the same company and I was working on the other one when it went down for 2 minutes. I thought it was just a network problem but when I checked the uptime, it was rebooted.

Then I found out that the other server was also rebooted and both servers have the same uptime (give or take a couple of seconds).

Looks like someone tripped over the power plug or something?

Have you asked your provider if there was any power issues that day?

I already filed a ticket. Still waiting for a reply. They're usually slow on Sundays.

So the most probable explanation for that is a power issue?

Check /var/log/messages to see if a shutdown was initialized. Otherwise it would look like a power failure.
