    Urgent! Is this worth it?

Ok, I am down to this decision. It's either this package or the one I mentioned in my other post. Is this worth it? How many people can this support if they were all downloading a 180MB - 230MB file at 240KBPS average?

    Virtual Server - $30/Month
    100GB disk
    1 CPU
    512MB dedicated RAM
    768MB shared RAM
    100mbit unmetered connection

To me it also looks like a very nice deal, but pretty cheap if you ask me.

That's a good deal if the company is reputable.
Providing 100M unmetered is not easy to see for a VPS...

It's most likely going to be a 100Mbit unmetered line that every VPS on the node shares, so can't really give any figures on how much bandwidth you can expect to pull.

Best thing to do is ask the host what kind of bandwidth usage you can expect to achieve.

I would not trust a deal like that. Is there more information on how much bandwidth you will actually receive? Just 100mbit unmetered for $30 is not possible.

Like what has already been said, it depends, because the 100mbps is probably shared between every VPS on the node. If there's 30 VPS's, all using bandwidth constantly, with an even share about 14 people could download it at the same time, with a speed of 240kbps.

Around $100 with control panel but that doesn't include an unmetered connection.

I would recommend SEARCHING the Dedicated Hosting Offers forum for the word unmetered

    bx510,

You might also want to look as previously stated, at bandwidth quality. You might not want 100MBPS Cogent, or 100MBPS BTN if you live in Europe, as BTN serves primarily to Mid-Western USA and West Asia etc.
