Do you have alredy your name servers?
If not... Go where you register the domain name that you want to be your name server. Look for a form to complete and enter the name server"ns1.youdoain.net and ns2.yourdomain.net" with the ip for each one.
wait until prpagate
Not sure if you get what I mean. I want to create new nameservers which are pointing to my dedicated server. Don't I have to modify config files, etc?
There are no domains on my dedicated server at this time. Once the nameservers are configured then I want to be able to point my other domains to them so that I can easily move them to the dedicated server.
These are much faster, have better support and are much cheeper to. The transfer will not cause any down time either.
Also - have you "created" both name servers at Verisign yet?
It takes up to 2 weeks in some cases, but transfering the domain takes only 5 days. It might be best to transfer the domain before you creat the NS at verisin/netsol - despite the extra week this might delay your server comeing online.
Never used verisign control panel but there must be option of creating nameserver. It will take 24-48hours before it reflect the changes so don't expect the changes just after creating the nameserver.
I found it on verisign. basically you need to change the nameservers for the domain to point to one the new nameserver that doesn't exist yet. It will then ask you for the IPs, etc and I assume that that's all there is to it since it didn't give me any error messages etc. we'll see...
