Yes, the poor spam filtering has been the biggest concern.
The MSSQL manager is ASP Enterprise Manager. Very slow, few features.
I believe they are new to the windows hosting world. I must admit in the 2 months I've been using them their uptime and support are both good.
I have discovered there is a webreseller.net (apparently bad) and webresellers.net (not much info about them). It is so hard to find any real reviews on web hosts and almost every forum I search requires me to join. I don't mind joining a few but I'd prefer to be able to search the forum and see what's there before I join.
Anyway, my current testing method is to host my disposable domain with the potential hosting company, setup an uptime monitor and see how it goes. That domain gets alot of spam so it's a good test case. The unix/linux spam filtering seems to do well but I have another windows host that has great spam filtering. They just don't have an online control panel, everything is done via email. They are a small company, expensive but reliable.
