SIM 2.x (currently at ver 2.3) is essentialy a shell application, it does not install any 3rd party software with it nor does it make any modifications beyond its own files. It uses binaries retily availible on most systems to complete its tasks (e.g: bin mail, grep, awk, ps, netstat etc..). It wont have and adverse effects that may hinder the proper function of major system services nor control panels. It is not a compiled program (rather a shell app), as such its source can be easily verified and anylized at will.
