How to install eaccelerator for php 5.2.4 step by step?

Hello,
I wanna install eaccelerator on my server, but i need step by step instruction about shell commands etc, because I don't wanna risk to compromise the server. Can anyone give me any advice? I searched in google but all i could find were install instructions for old versions...! Instead for my php version i red its required a new one.
Maybe the easy way would be to use yum but as I red in another place I tried "yum install php-eaccelerator" but it doesnt work. Probably I don't have that package. Does anyone know how to download the right package and install it easy-way? I would like to avoid editing files manually as I don't have much experience in doing that. I have found a rpm package... but, how can I install it? Sorry for all the questions
if anyone can help me i will be very grateful!

Thanks to the both of you for the links.
Anyway I checked them and they seem to me a little bit out to date and probably specific for a standard php4 installation as both documents are prior to php5 version. So now my question is: has anyone managed to installed it on PhP5? How does it work? Are the any incompatibility issues for php 5.2.4? Which is the right version for me to install? Are there any pre-made packages (rpm or whatever) for easy installation on CentOS 4?

The steps for installing eaccelerator for PHP 5 is just the same as PHP 4.

By the way, the latest version of PHP 5 is PHP 5.2.5.
