    Open DNS Servers - BIND

Just being doing a load of queries to try and get everything to "pass", I noticed that some big players in the hosting scene have either open or closed DNS servers. have closed, while are open...?

I have changed all mine to closed, just because dnsstuff advises it, but is there any reason you would want them open..?

Best is to have it closed... because of possible amplification attacks. You really only need to set it for local servers that it may be servicing.

To be more clear, if made closed, the below will not work. is any domain not hosted in that server.
