Maybe try searching the forum (use the Search box, above) for key phrases like "no adult content".

There are many such hosts out there... your requirements are very basic. However the adult industry is a big-money industry, so that will be your biggest limiting requirement. Not that that's bad I'm not a fan of adult content myself but that's what you're really going to need to watch for: do they allow adult content on their network?

Check your prospective host's Terms of Service, and also send an email to their sales dept. to verify that they do not allow spam nor adult content, prior to signing up. That way you can be assured that your site is with a provider that meets your needs.

I am glad to see a person looking for a non-adult content web hosting provider. I would also use the search function as many other may point out.

    William,

Almost any shared-hosting would do, a lot of shared hosting providers do not like porn (and not only because of ethical reasons but also due to cost factors). And spam is a big no-no in the industry.

Try to take a look at the offer section or use the 'find A host' on top of the WHT forum. If in doubt if a company doesn't allow ask their sales department.

Good luck in finding your host.

do a find a host. I am pretty sure you meant that you wanted a reliable host, so you might want to try hostgator if you don't use that much as they are great if you keep on the down low

    thanks for advice.

My website is for education. I care a lot for no spam,no porn content for one of my website was blocked in some conutries, caused by some other porn/spam/politics websites.

so which provider has this function:
Changing the domain and webhosting binding IP in control panel manually. I don't need to assign exact one from list, only refresh IP binding or move to another IP.

so, if my website's IP is blocked, I can change it.

just get a dedicated ip from any host and pay about $2 more per month. that ensures you don't get blocked.

While a dedicated IP might help you not getting blocked in one of the many filters companies nowadays use, it will most likely not help you for email blocking as i.e. cPanel servers use the main IP address to send email "out".

A host which is strict on no Spam might be less likely to get on a list, but is never able to guarantee to you they will not end up on a black list, nobody can, not even google.

I believe that you would need a host which takes spam and the problem seriously and act on a problem as soon these things happen.

You are going to be hard-pressed to find this capability with web hosts, if only because dedicated IPs are only available if you have a technical justification for it. The only technical justifications are

    (1) you are running public FTP on your site; or
    (2) you have an SSL certificate.

If #2, you won't be able to freely change your IP then either, as your SSL certificate must be manually reinstalled.

Given that you run an education site, surely you realize that there are many countries which prefer to keep their citizens ignorant. I agree political sites are much more likely to be blocked in that way, but still, education sites are a dangerous thing to such regimes.

Being on a shared IP is really not a bad thing. If you have a problem you can always ask your host to move you to another server. If that doesn't fix it -- e.g., if the whole Class C has been blocked (likely) then you may need to find a completely different provider. Simply changing between a couple IPs on your server won't fix it. So you would need to move anyway.

I doubt that most hosts are blocked by foreign countries, this seems to be a fairly rare issue anyway. You're not going to find a host that disallows political sites. Political sites are everywhere, and they are a completely separate deal from porn and spam. If you are looking to avoid porn and spam, that's no problem. You should have no problem finding a host who disallows that. But if political sites are a worry for you, maybe you would have better luck hosting your website in these countries that are block-happy?? Just a thought.

this is a old thread i know, but i too am wondering if there is any hosts that do not allow "adult conent" on their servers, to some it is a issue of principle not just IP blocking or heavy usage..

    any one? vps/reseller's ?

Any webhost that runs LiteSpeed webserver will not have "porn" as it goes against their policy.

Unless it has changed and I don't think it has

    Looks like it hasn't changed:

It's not just that. Any host using LiteSpeed is prevented from doing so according to the LiteSpeed license. So any LiteSpeed host should be a non-porn host.

@OP: I would look at Stablehost or Veerotech.

No host should allow spam. At least in US, Canada, and most of EU.
