Colocation providers in Portland/Vancouver
I have a colo need looking for rackspace in the Portland/Vancouver area. (Timeframe 30-60 days)
I am aware of:Infinity,SpireTech,EasyStreet,Opus Interactive,ViaWest,iLand in that area.
1. Can anyone colo'd with these companies verify quality/satisfaction?
2. Please suggest other providers if I am missing them?

I guess I should clarify. by Portland/Vancouver I mean Vancouver, Washington.
Peer1 has facilities in Seattle, WA & Vancouver,B.C.
They do not have facilities in Portland, Or. Vancouver, WA.
(I actually just called them to make sure I wasn't mistaken.)

I'm pretty sure Peer1 has no presence in the PDX metro area.
Fortix/ViaWest is the only big player I know of down there. Electric Lightwave (may they rest in peace) got their start in Vancouver WA IIRC, so maybe there is some fractured spin-off from that situation? Who knows. Report what you find as I'm curious as well.

Please note: I no longer work for digital.forest in Seattle, WA, as I left them in early 2010 to pursue an amazing opportunity at an amazing datacenter project elsewhere... I do not speak for digital.forest here. However I still know they provide the best colocation in the Pacific Northwest.

We're currently using Infinity Internet for all of our servers. We have had some problems in the past but we have worked through them. I would suggest you look into the Pittock. We are going to start colocating there starting March for all of our new servers. You can actually purchase bandwidth directly from the provider rather than going through the datacenter which in most cases are a lot better (price-wise).
EasyStreet has a really nice facility, but you pay the price. They claim their services are fully managed but it really isn't. I guess the only difference with them is that they actually have staff on site 24/7, but you have to pay a good sized fee to have them even do anything.

I second VPSByte's comments about EasyStreet, they are expensive and IMO not worth the cost.
I also want to point out that if you're choosing the location for performance reasons then you'll actually see lower ping times to Seattle or San Jose. As far as I can tell Comcast, Verizon and QWest all peer there and not in Portland.
If you need to be physically close to your servers that's another issue.
Cheers,
Matkin
