any ideas why non-ssl pages are blank, ssl pages work

I am moving to a new server. At first the http:// version of the site was fine. I had trouble getting https:// working. Once I had the path to the certificate file correct, I was good to go. So, I started moving data. I also ran some updates on the new server (installed mysql, php, related pkgs). I don't know when the http:// pages stopped working, but I didn't realize it until I had everything moved over and tried to go live. The pages are completely blank. If I view source, I get this:
    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
    <HTML><HEAD>
    <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD>
    <BODY></BODY></HTML>
My https:// pages work fine, but the images in the graphics directory are broken.

It has to be something simple... at least I hope. Any ideas??

ETA: The web directory was unchanged. Maybe the cause is apache??

Also: There are no errors in the log files.

Well, I've determined the cause of the problem, but I'm not sure why it's doing this or how to fix it...

In the apache directives for the secure virtual server, I removed this:
    SSLEngine On
    SSLCertificateFile /var/www/certs/store.crt
    SSLCertificateKeyFile /var/www/certs/store.key.nopass
Now http:// works again, and of course, https:// doesn't.

In case someone else runs into this problem, I found the solution...

    My http.conf file had this:
    NameVirtualHost 11.11.111.111

When mod_ssl is running, you must specify the ports like this:
    NameVirtualHost 11.11.111.111:80
    NameVirtualHost 11.11.111.111:443

    It works now!

Is the IP listening on port 80?

    telnet server_IP 80

Is the images called using the absolute url with http?
