    Ram Taken by the Os?

This may sound like a noob question but I have searched and not found any answer.
Does each vps on a server run its own Os? If by exemple I took a 128mb vps(wich I would not) would the Os take place in that ram or it is just one Os for all the vps on the server?
    Hope you understand my question

Hi, it depends on what you mean by OS and what virtualization platform you are on.

Is OS the kernel or the kernel + applications like apache and sql?

    Hello,
By Os, I mean just the kernel, without any application. My virtualization platform would be virtuozzo.

In Virtuozzo it's one kernel (OS)for all VPSs.
