I remember being in the cockpit of a plane when I was younger when we went on holiday, was sooo cool.

Always made me want to be a pilot, but was never going to be intelegent enough, so a career on the web was 2nd best lol

Most of my family are engineers in aviation, and have worked on the A380 and eurofighter (typhoon) at Airbus in filton, Bristol, UK. and at Rolls Royce and British Aerospace also at filton.

My Dad was a test engineer on the Concord ProtoType 2 back in the 60's - testing equipment mid-flight...

Although i've never seen inside the A380, I've seen it take off and land.... Its a beast of an aircraft...!

It's a fine piece of engineering - but Still doesnt compare with the beauty of the Concord which i've flown in 8 times, last time was in 1999 for the solar eclipes.

As far as I'm aware the GE90's are a Boeing exclusive engine.

I don't understand something. Why must they make it look all mechanic and what not? Some of those flights are going to last well over 6 hours. Imagine being stuck in that ugly cockpit for so long!

I think the pilots decorate it with their own Hugo Boss seat covers

Where's the mini-fridge with all the booze in it? I'd have to be really drunk to think I can fly one of those.

Where you from Liam? I'm based at Prestwick Airport, you should get involved in flying if you have wanted to do it.

Awesome piece of kit, would love to fly them but I think I will need to stick to the 738s for a while before i get the chance
